Sandra Groll

Sandra Groll

Sandra Groll is a systems theorist and design scientist. She studied product design, philosophy, and aesthetics as a minor at the HfG Karlsruhe and completed her doctorate at the HfG Offenbach. In addition to design-historical and design-theoretical issues, she researches the relationship between design and society with a focus on systems theory. From 2016 to 2018 she represented the professorship of Theory and Practice of Design at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. Since 2017, Sandra Groll has been a member of the Board of International Research in Design of Birkhäuser Verlag. She teaches and has taught at various colleges and universities in Germany and abroad, including FH Potsdam, Freie Universität Bozen, Zhejiang Wanli University Ningbo, HFK Bremen, and Hochschule Bielefeld.
