Nina Paim

Nina Paim

Nina Paim (she/her) is a designer, curator, and editor born in Nova Friburgo, Brazil, and based in Porto, Portugal. Her work revolves around notions of directing, supporting, and collaborating. She co-curated numerous exhibitions, workshops, and events, including »Escola Aberta« in Rio de Janeiro, in 2012, »Beyond Change« in Basel, in 2018, »Department of Non-Binaries« in Sharjah, in 2018, and »Feminist Findings« in Berlin, in 2020. She co-edited »Taking a Line for a Walk«, published by Spector Books in 2016, and »Design Struggles«, published by Valiz in 2021, and co-founded the feminist platform Futuress in 2020. Nina Paim has won the Swiss Design Award three times. Since 2023, she has been running the bookstore Bikini Books in Porto with an associated publishing house of the same name.
